Description
The main goal of this course is to familiarize participants with the basics of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and servlets. At the end of the course, participants will be able to design, build and publish simple web pages and add some basic interactions.
Audience
This course is intended for beginners and people with limited or no experience in web development who want to learn about web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and servlets, especially for back-end Java developers. It is suitable for those who want to understand how websites are built and develop interactive web pages.
Basic Java knowledge is required as prior knowledge for this course. Participants must be familiar with the basic principles of programming in Java to properly understand and apply the course content.
Methods
The course is offered through instructor-led lessons as well as self-study. Participants will receive practical exercises and assignments to practice their skills. The emphasis is on hands-on learning, where participants are actively writing code and solving programming issues.
Contents
Introduction to the functioning of the web and the relationship between a user (client) and a server such as
architecture and the difference between static and dynamic websites (introduction to APIs)
• Using HTML and CSS to write a web page correctly
• Understand and correct design philosophies such as responsive design and mobile-first design
apply, including using a framework such as Bootstrap
• Online website publishing
• Basic structured use of JavaScript to add programming logic to a website

Certification
Participation certificate: participants receive a certificate that they have completed this training at the end of the training.
